Developing investigative journalism

The Solidarity Zone Foundation operates a grant from the Journalism Development Network’s Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. The grant enables Belsat TV to conduct and promote in-depth journalistic investigations. The results are aired as the investigative program “Let’s Deal with It” (Davaytze razbiratztza). The program’s author Stanislau Ivashkevich and his team analyze the government’s public tenders, reveal ties between businessmen and people in the government, discover irregularities in health care and municipal services, and criticize corrupt dealings related to many scandals in the Belarusian economy.
